It took me a few attempts to get this picture – mainly because I had the camera balanced on a swivel office chair, a box, and a folded jumper. Oh, and then there was the small matter of me hitting the timer and dashing onto the bed. (I’m all about the professionalism, no?) Anyway, I hope you like the resulting image; my OH has asked me to call this one ‘Waiting’. Why? Well, I think you can all figure that one out …

This turned out really really well. Gorgeous picture! May I ask what type of camera you have?
A second-hand Canon Eos 300D with a standard 35mm lens. I really need to make the time to experiment with it more, though, as I find I have a habit of sticking to what I know in terms of shutter speed, focus, etc. Oh, and a certain small person in our house dropped it on the floor a few months back so the battery case is being held closed with sticky tape! :-/

I have a Canon DSLR and I have an app on my Android phone that allows me to control my camera via a very long lead; the app cost a couple of quid, the lead a couple more and it is very useful.
I’d never have guessed that this was self-taken btw; great shot!
