I really hope I don’t offend anyone with this week’s Sinful Sunday competition entry; I have taken Molly’s brief of ‘triptych’ very literally and nodded, perhaps more than a little blasphemously, towards its religious roots. (Art History was one of my university majors and I just couldn’t help myself.) As such, my triptych sequence is inspired by both the traditional panel paintings found in churches and the great – and scandalous! – Baroque painter, Caravaggio; a true master of light, dark and the dramatic.

  • Picture one: The Flagellation
  • Picture two: The Crucifixion
  • Picture three: The Benediction

*My blog layout is a bit restrictive with regard to showing my triptych full-size (although you can click on it to make it bigger). As such, I have placed the individual images in a larger format below the panel arrangement so that you can get a better look at them individually.

Peach

The house we are currently renting has a peach tree in the garden that’s absolutely laden with fruit. Unfortunately, we had a hail storm a few weeks back that spat out icy stones the size of marbles and rendered most of the crop inedible. As I was picking up all of the fallen peaches off the ground this morning, it struck me that I could find an alternative use for them … Continue reading

Over the weekend, I kept an eye on all the amazing tweets posted by those attending Eroticon 2014. (For those who don’t know, this brilliant annual event, founded by Ruby Kiddell, brings together erotica writers, sex bloggers, publishers and a host of other individuals who are interested in, to quote the Eroticon slogan, ‘writing sex right’.) There was one session in particular that generated a lot of Twitter action: a talk on censorship by Zak Jane Keir (@decadentmadamez), Pandora Blake (@pandorablake), and Myles Jackman (@ObscenityLawyer). And then I saw this tweet by @HarperEliot.

The idea of burning a book – any book – makes me physically cringe. And if we’re talking obscenity? Well, the below image pretty much sums it up for me.

The prompt for this week’s Sinful Sunday is ‘all about the laughter’. Sexy pics that make us smile and giggle.

Well, my photographs for this theme are ones that were taken quite a few months back by E and came out of the shoot we did of me wandering half clad through some local woods and hayfields. Before we set off, we decided to throw a pair of stilettos into our kit bag (clearly an excellent choice of footwear for woods and muddy paddocks) but, turns out, trying to get your legs in the right position whilst lying on your back in a sea of uncut grass is actually quite tricky.

The first two pics look like I’ve tripped over. And while the last is slightly more elegant, you still get the feeling that the whole thing is highly incongruous and I should have invested in some decent walking shoes.

Nothing like a few Sinful bloopers. :-)

As a young teenager, being flat-chested bothered me a lot. Mainly because I used to get teased, by boys and girls alike, for having little to nothing up front; my boyish shape was apparently not ‘normal’ or attractive to either sex. I wasn’t a storm in a B-cup, let alone an A-cup – and I cannot even begin to describe my hysterical joy when I managed to get my hands on a Wonderbra at around age sixteen. (Excitement city as I went from flat plain to small hillock.)

It wasn’t until my early twenties that I really started to become comfortable with my lack of chest but while I would like to say that my acceptance of my body shape was largely down to my own sense of self and growing maturity, I really have to credit my change in attitude to a handful of wonderful partners, including M (despite him being a self-confessed ‘boob man’), who were unfailingly positive about my body’s landscape – to borrow a line from Bridget Jones – just as it was.

So this picture is an homage to that cliched phrase that I’m sure all of us small-chested girls have heard at one time or another, ‘Anything more than a handful’s a waste’. Or in this case, ‘anything more than a camera …’. Continue reading

Slightly after Sunday midnight, but I hope Molly won’t mind! The theme for this week’s Sinful Sunday is macro shots. I took the below picture some time ago while playing around with the idea of nipples being called ‘berries’ in (what seemed like) every second erotic book I was reading. And that lead to the idea of clamping them … I know it’s not a ‘true’ macro (I don’t have macro lens) but – I hope! – it’s close enough to pass the doorman.

Christmas Fairy

Image: Christmas Fairy. (Me, wearing my halo, whilst sitting in a Pohutukawa – also known as the ‘New Zealand Christmas tree’.)

This Wicked Wednesday is an unapologetic, sentimental and festive ‘thank you’ – a big one! – to all the amazing people who have made my 2013 so happy and wonderful.

Bloggers, writers, readers, fellow kinksters … There are so many of you that I am pleased and proud to know (both online and in person), and who have been totally selfless in support of me and this little Chintzy corner of the Interweb these past twelve months. To that end, I’d like to embarrass a few of you by specifically calling out your awesomeness. Continue reading
