Christmas Fairy

This Wicked Wednesday is an unapologetic, sentimental and festive ‘thank you’ – a big one! – to all the amazing people who have made my 2013 so happy and wonderful.

Bloggers, writers, readers, fellow kinksters … There are so many of you that I am pleased and proud to know (both online and in person), and who have been totally selfless in support of me and this little Chintzy corner of the Interweb these past twelve months. It took me a few attempts to get this picture – mainly because I had the camera balanced on a swivel office chair, a box, and a folded jumper. Oh, and then there was the small matter of me hitting the timer and dashing onto the bed. (I’m all about the professionalism, no?) Anyway, I hope you like the resulting image; my OH has asked me to call this one ‘Waiting’. Why? Well, I think you can all figure that one out …

As per the title of this post, I picked the word ‘swing’, which, at first glance (before you see my images), could suggest something else entirely …

This Wander image (another shot taken on my afternoon walk with the lovely E) has tortured me a bit. My photo editing skills are somewhat limited but I decided to try and knock all the colour out of it, bar that in the red top I was wearing, in order to stop the hayfield from dominating me (pun intended) quite so much. Er, yeah. Unfortunately, I wasn’t quite good enough to negotiate my way around all the grass blades in the foreground so, after much growling and muttering, settled for messing about with the colour levels to make all the green stuff a little more silvery. I kind of like what I ended up with (I think the seed heads feel a little bit ghostly) … Continue reading
