I’m not sure that this photograph is particularly good from a technical perspective – the focus is a little bit out – but I kind of like it. I think it’s because I’m able to see the inside of the cane: the rattan’s structure and the way the tubular fibres sit so snugly next to one another. So I bought Truth or Dare for my husband as a Christmas present. It was a bit of a stab in the dark – I wasn’t sure what the ‘truth’ and ‘dare’ cards would be like and whether they would suit us – but the game turned out to be a lot of fun, despite that fact that we only got to play once over the holidays. (I managed to get a hideous lung infection just before New Year and couldn’t do much other than lie around breathing like Darth Vader and coughing like a cat with a fur ball.)
