Oh Lordy!! I thought exactly the same! No hotels meet my requests!! I don’t want to much but what I want isn’t out there… If only money wasn’t an issue and I could build up my own hotel for couples exact needs as my own!

Yep, I’d join you on that venture!

Malmaison Oxford – just don’t fancy the idea of being in a prison. Crazy Bear are in all the wrong places though if you want to do something other than stay in your room all day (although I would be quite happy with that, not sure OH would – stamina!)
Will continue my search…

We did! Well, we sort of did. I’ve been meaning to blog about it.

So, I was quite taken with the Crazy Bear, too – looks very cool. However, it was too much of a stretch budget-wise. We ended up staying at a nice but ‘regular’ hotel in London and going to a burlesque show. The former was lovely but quite tame, the latter really over-priced for what it was (I’ve certainly been to better performances).

We’ve have tried the Malmaison in Oxford in the past and, I have to say, it’s pretty cool, not least because it’s a converted prison. (Thick walls – sound doesn’t carry!)

If you can afford it, I’d say go with the Bear.

There really is a lack of pretty, kinky hotels out there … *Lightbulb!* Business idea!

Just come across this post (am slowly catching up with your blog).
Did you ever get your dirty weekend away? I’ve been trying to organise one for ages but apart from The Pelirocco in Brighton (don’t care much for the decor) all hotel rooms with four posters (need something to fasten those ties to) are too romantic (we’re not going there for the romance!). There’s the Hotel de Vie in Farnham (not all good reviews on tripadvisor though) or the Crazy Bear group of hotels have some very sexy rooms.
What do you think a receptionist in a hotel would say if I ask if they have for a room with a four poster away from others so I don’t disturb them with my screaming?
Please let me know if you found anywhere! Desperate to get away from the kids!
